A quick couple of days' visit to beantown for some more photography work...
After a rough early morning flight in the commuter jet we arrived just in time for morning coffee and early check in to new modish boutique nine zero hotel, just up from Boston Common in the Ladder District.
Upgraded to a high suite overlooking the common and started in high style with margarita's...
...nothing like a mini bar with the mix and salt already provided...
A town of tacky tourist delights at every corner
We walked through the historic streets and the god awful concrete wasteland of the new city hall precinct to grab some fresh oysters and sam adams ale at bar of the historic Union Oyster House.
which was right across the cobbkled street from the Holocaust Memorial which I found rather chilling than peaceful...the six glass towers inscribed with prison numbers were too evocative of chimneys and the water spray inside reminiscent of gas clouds...
walked back using the freedom trail once again past historic buildings aplenty
everything was passed was inscribed "the first in america" or the "oldest in america"...yep history jolted you at every turn...from bookstores...
to swan boats on the Boston Common lake
Escaping across the parkland mobs of tourists, we stumbled into the pretty brownstone district of Beacon Hill
It resembled a cute New England town - all cobble stones, clapboard, and flowerboxes....but stuck on the side of a modern city...chi chi but still cute
exhausted, and the sun was setting over the Charles so it was time to retire back to the hotel for cocktails, views and a night out at Mantra for some terrible Indian fusion food and even worse service.

good location. My next weekend is free so may be i will grab a ticket from LMT nd reach there. LMT normally have good deals for cities like these.
