Our cottage in Vestea Abruzzo is lavished with luxurious items and furnishings just so your vacation is extra special.
One of the most delightfully decadent items we provide in the cottage is high quality linen products from renowned Frette.
Frette is an Italian textile company known worldwide for its premium linen. It was established in 1860 in Grenoble, France.
With threads-per-inch soaring between 210 and 1000, Frette luxury linens are recognized the world over as truly top-quality linens. They are actually referred to as "investment" linens. There are multiple reasons for Frette's status as one of the most prestigious textile boutiques in the world. Obviously the high thread-count is one. But what makes even a Frette 210 thread-count sheet feel so much softer than that from another mill? The quality of the thread used to make the cotton in the first place.
Every single strand of thread packed into that count is made from 100
percent Egyptian cotton. Every thread is then combed, and the
substandard threads--those which break during the combing process--are
removed from the piece. The result is a sheet, a pillow case, a duvet
cover made of cotton soft as silk.
In 1881, Frette became Official Purveyors to the Italian Royal Family. Frette linens are used in the world's finest five star hotels such as the Ritz in Paris, the Savoy in London, the Peninsula in Hong Kong, and Raffles in Singapore. Frette table linens were used in the banqueting rooms onboard the Titanic, and are still used today aboard the Orient Express.
Frette created the Tablecloth of the "Holy Virgin" for the altar at St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome, based upon a drawing by the French painter Meurillion. The 19th Century tablecloth was reproduced in 2000 for the papal celebrations at the Vatican.
Frette linens are for the person who appreciates the finer pleasures in life. And now at our luxury cottage in Abruzzo you too can luxuriate in the delicious comfort of Frette bed linens i each of the three double bedrooms.
